Lessons

HOW IT WORKS:

Simple.

For more infomation click here to contact us.  We’ll discuss your goals and stylistic interests compare calendars, and find an optimal lesson time.

What should bring to my first lesson?

1) Your instrument
2) Any printed music you enjoy or would like to explore (if you are not a beginner).
3) An iPod or a few of your favorite CDs
4) A mental list of goals and interests to share with your teacher.

These things, while not necessary, will help your teacher customize lessons in a way that is most relevant to you.

How often do students take lessons?

To get the most out of your lessons, I recommend that you take one lesson per week. However, flexibility is important with my schedule as well as yours and learning at your own pace is important, so your schedule and the number of lessons you take is entirely up to you! You always have the option to change the frequency of your lessons as you go along.

What ages of students can enroll in lessons?

I take students almost any age for most lessons.

How long are lessons?

Typically 1 hour, depending on the teacher and the age of the student.

Do I need to have my own instrument in order to take a lesson?

For your first lesson, we typically recommend that you use one of the instructor's instruments so you can make sure you want to continue on with those particular lessons. If you want to move forward and purchase your own instrument, your instructor will be able to recommend locations in your area where you can buy one for yourself.

Typically 1 hour, depending on the teacher and the age of the student.

What if I am going to be away for some of my lessons? Will I still be charged?

Our booking policy is flexible, so you're only charged for the lessons you're planning on taking each month. If you plan on going on vacation, you can simply add the dates you are unavailable to your vacation calendar, and we'll automatically skip scheduling and billing for those lessons. This way, you're in full control of the number of lessons you take each month. However, remember to update your calendar or give us 24 hours to re-schedule a lesson, or you'll be billed for the lesson you missed.
